Who Benefits from being Sided with China?

The Wall Street Juarnal carries a news video entitled "Chinese Ships Patrol Disputed Islands". See the video http://on.wsj.com/fpvtRy

While I was watching it, I got an impression that The Wall Street Juarnal is sided with the People's Republic of China as far as the dispute over Senkaku Islands is concerned.

Or it seems that this news video attempts to further stir up conflict and hatred to inflict damage on the already strained relationship between Japan and China.

I really wonder who benefits from being sided with China or from stiring up conflict and hatred between two states.
