The Democratic Party of Japan Violates Freedom of Speech

Minister for Defense Mr. Kitazawa ordered Self-Defense Forces to report to him whatever civilians express while they attend any events to be held at SDF facilities.

Liberal Democratic Party strongly criticized his order issued to Self-Defense Forces because his order could be taken as state control over the public opinions, thereby violating freedom of speech protected by Article 21 of Japan's constitutions.

This order was issued to Self-Defense Forces after Defense Minister was exposed to the report that civilians criticized the ruling party at the SDF event.
